Getting Started in Takemusu Aikido

Are you interested in starting a martial art? Would you like to know more about Aikido? Welcome to the official web site of the Takemusu Aikido Association South Africa! Our objective is to protect, preserve and teach the traditional Aikido of the Founder, O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba, which he taught in Iwama, Japan. Our schools, based in Gauteng, South Africa, are fully accredited internationally and classes are taught by qualified instructors.

Join us for two Free introductory classes!

Our schools offer two introductory classes, at absolutely no charge, for you to evaluate Aikido before deciding to sign up as a student. The first thing you need to choose is a school. Our Accredited Schools page provides contact information for all our schools in the Gauteng area. To get more information about starting Aikido classes at the school you are interested in, contact the Instructor directly.
